A prominent leaker has suggested that the next trailer for Game Freak’s highly anticipated Pokémon Legends: Z-A could drop before Pokémon Day in February 2025. Initially announced on Pokémon Day 2024, Pokémon Legends: Z-A was one of the biggest highlights from Game Freak last year. While both Game Freak and Nintendo have remained silent about additional details, this could soon change.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A follows the success of 2022’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which introduced a fresh spin on traditional Pokémon-catching gameplay. Unlike Arceus, which was set in a historical version of the Sinnoh region, Legends: Z-A takes players to the Kalos region, the setting of Pokémon X and Y. Lumiose City is expected to serve as a central hub in the game, with leaks and rumors hinting that the starter Pokémon roster will include Chespin, Froakie, and Fennekin from Generation 6. The same well-known leaker has indicated that the next Pokémon Legends: Z-A trailer will arrive ahead of Pokémon Day 2025.
This information was shared by CentroLeaks on Twitter, citing two leaks from Riddler Khu. The first leak mentioned a shiny Rayquaza raid in December, where players can catch one shiny Rayquaza per save file. However, it remains unclear if this raid is for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet or Pokémon GO. The second leak teased that the next Pokémon Legends: Z-A trailer would be unveiled before February 27, the official date for Pokémon Day.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Next Trailer will be Released Before Pokemon Day (February 27, 2025)
Previously, Riddler Khu hinted that fans could expect Pokémon Legends: Z-A updates “soon.” While this latest claim narrows the timeline slightly, suggesting a trailer release between November and February, it remains a broad prediction. Known for sharing riddles as clues, Riddler Khu has a mixed track record, with some of his leaks proving inaccurate—a fact acknowledged by CentroLeaks as well.
Adding to the speculation, Game Freak’s recent data breach has reportedly leaked details about the game’s roster. According to these leaks, Pokémon Legends: Z-A may introduce new Mega Evolutions, specifically for the Legendary Pokémon Zygarde and the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora. Additionally, the so-called “Tera Leak” suggests that Stunfisk will also feature in the upcoming game.
As exciting as these rumors may be, fans should approach them with caution until Game Freak or The Pokémon Company provides official confirmation.
